         STE Executive Director

Dr. Johnson has nearly 20 years of experience working in Non-Profits, Non-Government Organizations, Higher Education and K-12 Education.  He has been an Education Program Director for Higher Education, Public, Private, and CMOs.  Currently he is Crowley ISD’s Destination Diploma Program Manager. He has extensive experience with First-Generation College Students, Mental Health, Project Management, and Inner-Government Relations.  He received his Doctorate from TCU, his MPA/MPP from University of Arizona, and his M.Ed. from Texas Christian University.

                 STE Board President

Dr. Sacken has more than 30 years of experience in Higher Education.  He has been both an Administrator and as a tenured Professor at Texas Christian University.  Among his competencies are First Generation College Advising, Education Program Evaluation, and Urban Education Administration.  He received his Doctorate in Education Leadership from Georgia State University and his JD from University of Texas.

                STE Dean of Students

Mr. Williams has more than 15 years of experience working with Exceptional At-Risk Students. He has been a program service provider for first-generation students, a secondary teacher at both Public and Private Schools, and is currently a Crowley ISD Destination Diploma Graduation Coach. He specializes in never giving up on a kid, no matter how far they slip or how often they need reinforcement. He received his Bachelors Degree from Texas Wesleyan University and is currently completing his MBA at Western Governors University. He is also a First-Generation College Graduate.

Mr. Sumberlin has more than 10 years of experience working in the fields of youth development, mental health, and Urban Education. His specialty is the preparation of first-generation College Students as well as At-Risk Student Mentoring. He is currently one of the Crowley Destination Diploma Graduation Coaches at Crowley High School. He finished his undergraduate Degree from North Texas and is currently completing his Masters Degree in Human Relations and Business from Amberton University. He is a First Generation College Graduate.

Mr. Jefferson has more than 10 years of experience working with at-risk, low income, and First- Generation College Students.  He is currently one of the Crowley Destination Diploma Graduation Coaches, for which he has worked the past 4 years.  He also has experience with AVID, Upward Bound and Boys and Girls Clubs of America.  He received his Master’s Degree in Education from Texas Christian University and  also completed his Masters Degree in Public Administration, with an emphasis in Non-Profit Management.  He is a First-Generation College Graduate, the first in his family to complete a College Degree.

Michael Reza-leads the George Fox University advancement team, where he oversees the university’s fundraising, alumni relations, and grant support efforts. He also serves as a member of the University Executive Leadership Team, where he helps lead the operations of the university. Michael joined George Fox as vice president for advancement and chief advancement officer in July of 2018. GFU is the largest private university in the state of Oregon.

Asaolu was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas and is the son of immigrant parents from Nigeria. Asaolu attended Texas Christian University and graduated with a bachelor’s in Accounting and later went on to attend Amberton University where he graduated with a Masters in Human Resources Training and Development. Asaolu holds multiple certifications within HR such as SHRM-CP, PHR, and HRPM. Asaolu has 11 years of experience working in Human Resource Leadership roles with noteworthy companies such as General Motors, Mercedes-Benz, Alcon and most recently Amazon.
